Bachelor’s Degree High Hopes Program
A college success program for college-bound seniors from Berkeley High School and Berkeley Technology Academy.
Overview
BDHH scholars gain mentorship, resources, career development, and monetary support throughout their undergraduate years, alongside a dedicated College Success Advisor.
Award
Up to $16,000 total, distributed as $4,000 per year over four years. Funds may be used for tuition, books, room and board, and other education-related expenses.
Eligibility
- Graduate from Berkeley High School or Berkeley Technology Academy in 2026
- Confirm enrollment at a four-year university for Fall 2026
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA in A-G requirements
We prioritize students demonstrating financial need, first-generation college status, or membership in historically underrepresented college-completion groups.
Key Dates
- Applications open: December 1, 2025
- Deadline: February 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST
- Interviews: Saturday, April 25, 2026 (mandatory, in person)
Scholar requirements
Scholars are active members of the BCS community. As a High Hopes Scholar, you agree to:
- Attend Summer Orientation and Celebration events
- Participate in BCS programming, including our career readiness program and events
- Give back to the BCS community
- Communicate with BCS staff on a consistent basis
- Attend BCS events and programs during summer and school breaks
- Attend college full time
- Submit scholar updates twice a year
- Meet with your College Success Advisor on a consistent basis
